“Pray The Mass” is a website dedicated to presenting clear teaching about the Catholic Liturgy.  The blog entries posted here are presented to assist every reader into an ever deepening conversion through an increased understanding of the source and summit of the Christian faith, the Eucharist presented at the Holy Mass.

“The Mass is at the same time, and inseparably, the sacrificial memorial in which the sacrifice of the cross is perpetuated and the sacred banquet of communion with the Lord’s body and blood. But the celebration of the Eucharistic sacrifice is wholly directed toward the intimate union of the faithful with Christ through communion. To receive communion is to receive Christ himself who has offered himself for us.” (CCC 1382)

The goal of this simple blog is to help shed light on “the sacred banquet of communion with the Lord’s body and blood.”  As Catholics, it is essential for us to not regard the Holy Mass as a casual affair, but as heaven on earth.  Many of the graces that God offers for us to enjoy are neglected because of our lack of understanding.  It is difficult to love what we do not know.  In the same line of reasoning we can assert that the more we understand that which is lovable, we will love all the more.  It is for this reason we offer you “Pray the Mass.”

The Holy Mass is as infinitely fascinating as heaven itself.  It carries divine weight and the propensity to make saints out of the worst sinners.  Without the Mass, the sacrifice of Christ, we would perish.  With it, our hearts can be consumed by the love of God in such a way that we can light the rest of the world with His irresistible flame.
